I'm Back!

If you've been following my other blog then you already know all of the drama tha's been going on for the past six months. If you haven't, then you can get caught up by visiting www.adeputyswife.com

I am going through a divorce after a 9 year marriage. I really tried to save the relationship but my husband was not cooperative or really willing to do what was necessary.

I have been so busy with work, school stuff, the divorce and having an AVON business and I am just about stretched as far as I can go. But I am looking forward to getting this blog as active as the other and even better!

I will write again soon...got laundry calling my name and TONS to update you all about with my kids, myself and life outside of being a cop's wife...

Ugh! I'm so far behind!

I seriously need to get a second writer for this blog. I have been so busy on my other one that this one is being neglected and I feel bad.

Kids and I all passed Hunter Education and got our cards, patched AND snazzy hunter orange vests from Fish, Wildlife & Parks that are the OFFICIAL 400 square inches required for hunting. I took the kids in to get their licenses and tags...Montana has a deal where the first time hunters who are minors get their license and tages for free! So both my daughter and my son got their deer, elk, fishing, upland game bird, waterfowl and...something else, I forget, but they have all their tags and they are ready to go! It was about $100 worth of licenses and tags that we didn't have to pay for. Of course, I have to buy mine but who cares when the kids got theirs free!

I'm hoping to buy a .270 before deer season opens in October.

On another note, I wanted to share an awesome web site where I ordered some eBooks. It is www.livingonadime.com and I have posted a link to it on the right. I order the following:

So far I've used 224 Meals in a Hurry the most and all four of my children have enjoyed EVERY meal I have cooked thus far. We did the Mexican Lasagna which was a BIG hit! Last night we had the Apple, Pork & Noodle Casserole which was surprisingly delicious and tonight we had the Meatballs & Rice with Marbled Mini-Cheesecakes for dessert. YUM!

I am really enjoying all of these wonderful books. As a single mom with two sets of twins and no job, being able to cook good meals that are delicous AND nutritious on a very limited income (child support) is nearly impossible. I HIGHLY recommend these books to anyone. Feel free to check them out yourself. Just click on the box above. They have some great freebies too!

Brain is hurting...

The kids and I had our first Hunter Education class tonight. We have 4 more classes and then are going to the range on Saturday for the field event. The kids are picking the lessons up very quickly and I have made arrangements with one of the Instructors from FWP to take us hunting this fall. The kids will get all of their tags for free this year since it is their first year: deer, elk, antelope, moose, sheep, goat and fowl. They can get into a special drawing for some additional elk tags, cow elk has the best chances of being drawn.

Tomorrow we continue with handgun safety and Lord knows what else. After the 10 mile bike ride with a mild sunburn and a sore rear end, I am exhausted and am going to bed!

They say snow by the end of the week...YUCK!!! It was about 70 degrees today and just gorgeous!

Beautiful Day!

The kids and I just finished a ten mile bike ride today. My butt is sore despite my jelly seat cushion. I think they are worn out but they want to go back to the fishing pond which would add another 5 miles to the list.

It's 70 degrees and just beautiful! I can't believe we have snow in the forecast later on this week! I hope the weather service is wrong. I am really enjoying my flip flops and tank tops!

Well, time to get the house picked up and do OT with my youngest.

It's finally here!!

My curriculum from NATHHAN finally arrived! I am so excited that I can now start language therapy at home with my youngest son since the school seems to think he doesn't need it. The program I am using is called "Straight Talk". There are two different ones: one for mispronounciation which is Straight Talk 1 and then one for language development which is Straight Talk 2-the program I am using with my autistic son.

My son was watching me make copies last night and asked me if it was for home school. I told him yes it was and he smiled. He wants so much to be home schooled again. and I really want to be able to home school him and get him away from those awful children that keep bullying him.

The weather has been beautiful and the kids are so happy to be able to go outside and play after school. They were out until about 8 p.m. last night...it still wasn't dark yet so I gave them extra free time to get their energy out.

Today I plan to take my fat butt dog for a walk. She is really kinda chunky and they say if your dog is over weight then YOU are not getting enough exercise. So I'm gonna go park the car on one side of town and walk to get my coffee and mail and whatever else I decide to do. I'd like to get in a couple miles today and I know my dog will love it!

Well, time to shower and get dressed!

Relaxing Day With The Kids

We had a nice day today. We managed to get over 100 seeds planted today...hope we didn't start them too early.

I rented a few movies tonight to watch with the kids and had all four of them in the kitchen with me cooking up some finger food for dinner. We had a smorgasbord of foods. I made deep fried raviolis, honey barbecue chicken wings, popcorn shrimp, tater tots, mini corndogs, and we had a tray of seven layer dip with tortilla chips. Oh I ate way too much!

The movie was alright. We watched "Enchanted" which actually was pretty funny in a few places. It was so corney that it was funny. My youngest daughter loved it...I think my oldest daughter liked it to although I'm sure she'd never admit it!

Tomorrow we have church and I am looking forward to it. I hope my best friend comes with her four kiddos.

FUN FUN FUN!

I just got home from having SUCH a good time tonight! There was a Walleye thing going on tonight...some fishing thing...at the Elk's Club. I don't know what the point of it was but there was a GREAT band (Black Velvet) out of Billings, MT and they played all the good music...classic rock from the 70's...holy cow I had SO MUCH FUN!!!

I ran in to a couple friends and we danced! Oh I forgot how much fun it is to go out and have a few drinks and dance and just let your hair down! My friend is an artist and is being featured for a month at a local art mezzanine and she talked me in to going to this club. OMG! I had so much fun!

Since it was a private club I was able to pick up my boys and bring them to see the band. They had a drummer, bassist, rhythm guitar and a very pretty brunette singer with a flashy silver belt and red cowgirl hat and I KNEW my youngest son would really like her!!!

My oldest son charmed many of the ladies there...one in particular hired his twin sister for the summer babysitting her six-year-old after spending most of the night dancing with the "ladies". My youngest son, armed with earplugs and my cell phone capable of text messaging, managed to make it through to 11:30 tonight with a LIVE BAND! I didn't get him to dance but the fact that he, with all of his sensory issues, managed to make it in a crowded, noisy environment for three hours is utterly AMAZING! I did determine though that in an environment with that much noise, he needs better ear plugs. But he did very well and I received NOTHING but compliments the entire night on both my boys! I am SO PROUD of them.

My oldest wasn't quite ready to come home yet so I gave him some money for soda and left him with my friends. Since his twin sister is babysitting their kids, I know who he is with and he really needs the affirmation that he is a good kid from someone other than me. I am so happy for him. He has been so gracious to the women...one of whom was rather intoxicated...but he obliged her and danced with her ever time she requested and wa such a gentleman about it. I know myt boy is creating memories that will last a lifetime!

As for my youngest boy, well, I received the greatest compliment today. One of the ladies I was with told me that he seemed perfectly normal tonight...she would have never guessed that he had autism! He did SO GOOD! He was such a trooper!

My youngest daughter is spending the night at the local evangelical church. She is a Brownie Girl Scout and is participating in an overnight babysitting course being put on by the older girl scouts. She is having a blast!

My oldest daughter, who is quite a handful, is babysitting for my artist friend. She is exstatic to be earning money and is very happy. This is the PERFECT START to the weekend! I hope it continues throughout Sunday!
